Design Centre, Goa

KOKUM is a not-for-profit interdisciplinary resource programme formed by Mozaic and friends of the Design Valley to create support and agendas for an exchange of ideas, positions & possibilities relevant to design. The objective is a sense of curation, documentation, dissemination, empowerment & electives in design disciplines such as architecture, product design, industrial design etc through multiple mediums and programmes. Keeping with the spirit of this idea, KOKUM is currently trying to cultivate an ongoing discourse in design open to the community, for now in Goa. Built as a part of this initiative, the Design Centre in Alto-Porvorim, Goa hosts many activities. The spaces in the Design Centre are modelled on a multidisciplinary approach, flexible for various formats, plug-ins or exploratory exercises such as lectures, installations, exhibitions, workshops, residencies, coworking spaces etc.
