Service Design Dialogue | Part 2 (EXPLORE)
**Evolving Dialogues** This 4-part series explores how we might apply design thinking in Hong Kong to improve social and public services. *Series Overview* EXPLORE | part 1 DEFINE | part 2 PROTOYPE | part 3 TEST | part 4 We conducted Part 1 (EXPLORE) in January 2018, and looked at opportunities and challenges for innovation in the current landscape. We explored themes such as education, politics and participation, sustainability and housing affordability for Hong Kong citizens. Through collaboration and discussion, the community chose the topic of economic and social mobility as the emergent and pressing issue for further exploration. In this Part 2 session (DEFINE), we will host a panel discussion to talk about the economic and social challenges that HK citizens face. How might we address the widening gap between rich and poor, caged homes, gentrification, and the education and economic factors that pressure young HK’ers into the ‘Lawyer, Banker, Doctor’ channel. Our panel will start at 7pm followed by networking and drinks. We're at Naked Hub, Bonham Strand this time, looking forward to seeing you!

Welcome to Design Thinking Asia - Hong Kong Chapter

Design Thinking Asia (DTA) is a community for people who are passionate about the power of design to transform people, societies, businesses...and maybe even the world.

DTA is a multi-disciplinary community with an emphasis on inclusion, passion, engagement and creativity - we want you to feel welcome and at ease at all our events, so please join us.

It doesn't matter what you do or where you're from, you'll be welcome here!

We meetup in these ways:

Design Salons: Modelled on the Salons of 17-18th century France, we gather in an intimate & designerly space to spend an evening conversing and sharing ideas together around a specific theme.

Occasional Mixer: A casual social get together where you can meet and mingle with other designerly types. We usually meet in a bar or other gathering space, with the focus being fun, networking and discovering how we all fit together in Hong Kong!

Workshops: A structured and professionally delivered lesson or presentation that will help you build the skills to integrate the value of design into your business and life. These will be professionally delivered paid-for events led by local and international people within the field of Design Thinking. You'll be left with new and tangible skills that will help you grow your business, professional skills and career prospects.

Facebook: ( we share interesting articles, experiences, thoughts and add an extra dimension to our community engagement.
