March marks an important, but mostly unknown holiday for Detroit: Corrado Parducci, the man beyond the Masonic Temple's interior, the Guardian Building's Native American guards, the Buhl Building's flora and fauna, and the sculpture and ornament adorning dozens of buildings around the state, would have been 113 years young
this month.

Join us at the SkyBar Lounge in the David Stott Building to hear from historian and scholar Jennifer Baross about Parducci's stunning work in that and so many other Detroit buildings. The Parducci Society will join us in throwing a proper birthday party (favors and all, folks) for a man who worked side-by-side with Detroit's best architects, but who so few of us know by name.
