  • StockTwits Detroit Merchants Row Meetup IV

    WeWork Merchant's Row

A gathering of minds to discuss domination of the financial markets. Greetings everyone, I wanted to bring the group together to discuss recent volatility in the markets, and how I think we are setting up into year-end. Vince here, the co-organizer of StockTwits Detroit. There have been several people contacting me recently who are curious about the basics of futures trading. I am going to give a crash course on futures trading, and then we can expand the conversation to recent stock market activity and the industries I see setting up as we head into the holiday season. WeWork has kindly granted our group free rein of their 7th floor event space overlooking iconic Woodward avenue. It has a great view of our hyper-growth metropolis. I will have the projector screen running so we can go over charts and other items of interest together. There will be pizza, beer, coffee, and filtered water. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other finance professionals in the Detroit area and for all of us to expand our understanding of the financial markets as a group. Our Meetup this month is proudly sponsored by CME Group, the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace. What does that have to do with you? CME Group has curated an entire website for active, individual investors and traders like yourself. Here you’ll find real-time market insights, strategies and trading tools, all in one central location. Interested? Visit www.activetrader.cmegroup.com

    WeWork Merchant's Row

A gathering of minds to discuss domination of the financial markets. Greetings everyone, hopefully your Memorial weekend is off to a good start. Friday afternoon I managed to secure the event space at WeWork Merchants Row Tuesday, June 12th from 6:00-7:30pm because I want to bring the group together and observe how the financial markets have behaved over the last 6 months. We will have the projector set up to go over charts and any other interesting topics that arise. This will be an open forum loosely moderated by Vince, the co-organizer of StockTwits Detroit. If we have time I will show you how I manage to take control of my investments with the latest tools in fintech. Detroit will always be at the epicenter of automation and right now the sharpest minds in computer science are gathering downtown and building incredible solutions to simplify the steps necessary to secure our future while still living our best life. WeWork has kindly granted our group free rein of their 7th floor event space overlooking iconic Woodward avenue. It has a great view of our hyper-growth metropolis. It would behoove you attend this meeting if your mission is to bank gratuitous amounts of coin in the financial markets and beyond. Again, this will be an open discussion format. We will talk strategy and what areas of the market appear to be setting up nicely into Q3. There will be pizza, beer, coffee, and filtered water. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other finance professionals in the Detroit area and expand our understanding of the financial markets as a group.

The second meetup of 2018 will take place at Benzinga headquarters Tuesday, March 27 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy pizza and refreshments with fellow stock market enthusiasts. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A. Benzinga is a dynamic financial media outlet that empowers investors with high-quality, unique content and technology. StockTwits Detroit MeetUp has the uncommon mission of liberating small-to-medium sized investors to take control of their investment decisions by staying abreast of the best investing and trading techniques and augmenting our approach with useful fintech tools. • Important to know This event is free. To help us best coordinate this event we ask that you RSVP as soon as possible. Seating is limited but come on down. Listen, there will be free pizza which is always nice. The timing of this event is great too---right at the end of Q1---a fascinating time to take a close look at the financial markets.

  • Discussing Active Trading: Open Forum

    Brew Detroit

    • What we'll do Greetings and Happy New Year market enthusiasts, Our first meet-up of 2018 will take place at Brew Detroit. We will meet on Tuesday, January 23rd and hold an open forum, loosely centered around active trading. We will discuss the basic tools needed to actively trade, what to trade, and the habits that you can start building now to better prepare you for trading. I spoke with the co-organizer of our Detroit Investors and Traders group last week and it looks like he will be in attendance as well. Should be good fun. If you have any stocks or cryptos or commodities you want us to analyze on the spot, I will have a laptop and we can run through them. Brew Detroit has promised us free WIFI, so feel free to bring your own devices if you would like. There is no set format for this meet-up. It is just an environment for us to discuss what is and is not working in our trading. All skill levels are welcome. If you want to take control of your investment decisions, this is a great place to start. Come out next Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:45 - 7pm and meet professional investors and traders. Brew Detroit produces small-batch craft beers available only through its tasting room. There are about 15 beers on tap. There are also non-alcoholic beverages available including coffee, water, and soda. Once I have a decent headcount, we will pick up a few Supino Pizza.s Hope you can make it out, -Vince • What to bring • Important to know
