Battle of the Toolsets

Hello all you DWI'ers,

First off, I want to thank The Basement for hosting and providing the food at our last all day workshop featuring jQuery Mobile and Phonegap. We had a great time, and everyone seemed to learn something new.

Now for our next meeting. We are doing something a little different this month. We are still going to be teaching/showing/sharing something, but the structure is a little different. Soo...

Come join Dev Workshop Indy and a panel of select professionals as we talk about toolsets. What programs do the pros use to get their work done? How do they go about setting them up? Just how many monitors is too many? All these questions and more will be answered at this freeflowing meetup, with only a minimum of trash-talking. We're especially looking forward to getting the vim and dreamweaver guys into one confined space.

Once the panel has had their say, we'll offer you a chance at the mic. Come up and convince us that the program or environment you use is the best. We'll vote on the best and give the winner a hearty handshake (at the least).

This workshop should be very interesting as many people feel strongly about their toolsets. :)

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks for putting this meetup together guys, it was a lot of fun. I mentioned these to David, but here is some stuff to further the conversation about javascript. It's a series of talks about the history, context, and good and bad parts of the language by Douglas Crockford, the guy who wrote the book. It's pretty interesting stuff.

I can't make it tonight. I've been asked to handle some pressing work for my indie game team. Sorry.

    TL;DR; I can't make it tonight. Sorry.

I have a heinous deadline and with no relief in sight, I have to bail on tonight. Which is a shame, 'cause I was ready to *throw down* over toolsets.

Sorry I can't be there tonight! Sick family, but BaM is sending the pizza in my stead :)

Would love to go but can't make it; Can you all compile a consensus to share/post?

We will try to record it for you.

Ditto! Will be out of town but would wish I was there. Would love a compilation of resources as well.

Hi all, I hope all is well. Sorry I can't make it this time but obligations have priority. I would love a copy of the materials or link to the recording as well.
