Guess who's back? Yeah, that's right.
We will AGAIN be hosting an Esri Dev Meet Up at our User Conference in San Diego (woot!), taking place Wednesday, July 10th. Food and beverages will be provided at the Dev Meet Up! (Come a lil' hungry, why don't ya?)
Developers of all levels of expertise are welcome, from seasoned GIS professionals to those new to geospatial development.
At these meet ups, you can:
Meet cool people. Duh, we're there.
Show us what you got by demo'ing your application or framework.
Make a name for yourself in presenting an cool new/interesting concept or idea.
Impress someone by sharing your experiences.
Make BFFs for life - connect with other developers!
Here's what's on the agenda:
6:00 - 7:00 PM Registration and Social (Appetizers and Beverages served - YES!)
7:00 - 7:30 PM Keynote Speaker - Brandon Brown, City of Dublin, "Hacking the Grid - Location-based Sleight of Hand." What can be done with a huge (don't say big data) influx of data that is available to utilize from so many sources/sensors? How do you go about using it? Learn how relevant GeoEvent server extension and portals are to digest this data, how it flows into augmented reality, how to filter the noise, and most fun of all, how to hack the system (going off the grid without going off the grid).
7:30 - 8:30 PM Lightning talks
- Brett Lord-Castillo "Gis.stackexchange.com"
- James Richards, Co-organizer of L.A. Spatial Meetup "CocoaPods"
- Steven Shaffer, GIS Analyst and developer at EEC "Django-Style Map Templates”
- Kerry Alley, "Python-driven Map Automation with Straight Line Diagrams"
8:30 - 9:30 PM Raffle, Networking and Social. Two great (no, FANTASTIC) prizes:
12-month EDN Subscription
