Our presenters are Dave Theunissen - Technical Specialist Engineer at IAG and Daniel Scott-Raynsford - Manager of Release Engineering at IAG.
They will share with us "Challenging the Corporate Immune System: DevOps in the Enterprise":
DevOps is generally the default approach for any new technology (or even non-technology) business starting up today. Even mid-sized businesses are finding great success implementing a DevOps approach to delivering software customer value. But what about the larger corporate enterprise that have become extremely successful by building up processes and practices to enable this success?
In this session we'll take a look at adopting a DevOps culture within the corporate enterprise and outline how the "Corporate Immune System" may challenge this fundamental change to the status-quo. We'll cover the common objections to DevOps culture raised by the "Corporate Immune System" and share some ways you might over-come these challenges through the use of tools, technology and by implementing a cultural shift. We'll also highlight some of the anti-patterns and risks you might encounter and share some of our experiences with these issues. You'll learn what worked, what didn't and what we might do differently.
