Bio: Stuart Jones
Platform Engineer, AWS Professional, with experience in Azure, Infrastructure-as-code and several CI/CD toolsets. 20+ years in IT, experience from desktop support, development, architecture, through to traditional on-prem infrastructure and networking, before transitioning to cloud. Covered a number of sectors from Civil Service, Banking/Financial Services, Airports/Aviation, and Consulting. Outside of work, predominantly employed as Dad's Taxi running several boys between different football/rugby/practices/matches; lapsed gamer; caffeine addict.
Manchester’s new pipeline of Cloud Talent
Overview of a new 12 week bootcamp model, launched in Manchester, helping young adults with latent potential to break into the technology sector. Delivered in partnership by AWS, Generation and Prince’s Trust, the programme widens access to great jobs, improves tech-sector diversity, whilst also addressing the digital skills gap.
