Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) is a new model not-for-profit multimedia organization that creates advocates, collaborates and enables accessibility to all media. Operating three broadcast services, AMI-tv and AMI-audio in English and AMI-télé in French, they offer an accessible broadcast experience and online service. Offering one-of-a-kind unique broadcast services that are fully captioned and described, the organization has exemplified a policy for the provision of full accessibility in every aspect of the business model. From the built environment to employment policies to web accessibility and the development of best practices, the organization has become both an advocate for all persons with a disability, but also an industry leader and standards bearer for an understanding of the practice.
