What we're about
This is the New York City sangha of Dharma Ocean--a non-profit foundation headed by the noted practitioner and scholar, Dr. Reggie Ray. Dharma Ocean is dedicated to the practice, study and preservation of the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the practice lineage he embodied. This sangha gathers to practice bodywork and meditation as presented by Dr. Ray, who was one of Trungpa Rinpoche's first students in North America. More information about Dharma Ocean can be found at www.dharmaocean.org.
The New York City sangha is led by senior teachers Tina LaGreca and Marty Enright.
Tina LaGreca
Teacher and Meditation Instructor
Co-Director DONY
Tina has pursued an interest in many wisdom traditions, especially Buddhist psychology and thought, but it wasn't until she met Dr. Reggie Ray in 2005, and was introduced to the somatic meditation that he teaches, that she found a path which unlocks the way to the unfolding of our fullest humanity. Tina was formerly a high school teacher, an actor/singer and is now a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City, providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups. She is also the co-director of Dharma Ocean of New York and is a teacher and certified meditation instructor in the Dharma Ocean Buddhist lineage.
Marty Enright
Teacher and Meditation Instructor
Co-Director DONY
Marty has studied with Reggie since 2005 and following the Dharma Ocean path has becomeone of the main guiding forces in his life. Marty frequently serves as a meditation instructor and in other leadership roles in Dharma Ocean programs, both at Blazing Mountain Retreat Center in Crestone, Colorado and in online programs. In his relationships with students, Marty aspires to create a container in which each individual student’s journey is respected, fostered and allowed to flourish. Marty earns his living as a securities and finance lawyer in New York and in his spare time likes to play guitar.
