Dharma Runners is a not-for-profit social organization focused on helping individuals obtain wellness of body and mind through running and meditation training.
Meditation trains the mind to be more focused, alert and resilient, while running or walking keeps the body fit and healthy. When the two activities are done together, they provide one with an increased capacity for well-being, health and peace of mind.
During our sessions, we will teach and discuss various meditation topics and techniques that our members can learn to incorporate into their running and daily lives. The result is a body and mind that is strong, healthy and resilient.
Who We Are
Dharma Runners is led by Venerable Hong Ci and David Westdorp. The idea started one day while at the cushion when our passion for spreading the Dharma found a footing in our running training.
Meditation and running are our lifestyle, and we want to share their wonderful benefits with everyone.
Through regular practice of meditation and running, we hope to help our members develop the inner resources to live a happier and more fulfilling life. We welcome members of any age, fitness level or faith.
