The Diamond Way Buddhist Group of Milwaukee is a group of practitioners who meditate and practice dharma to realize mind’s inherent richness, fearlessness, and joy. No experience with meditation is necessary. Just bring your genuine interest.
We are lay people, not monks (we know you were wondering) and embody a modern style of Tibetan Buddhist practice built on friendship and a direct connection to our teachers. Under the direction of Lama Ole Nydahl ( http://www.lama-ole-nydahl.org ), we belong to the Karma Kaygu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, currently headed by the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje ( https://www.karmapa.org ).
Our practice emphasizes meditation and developing our qualities by learning from every experience in life. Thus, we uncover our wisdom and compassion, and are able to be of benefit to all beings and ourselves.
We usually meet and meditate together weekly. Message one of our organizers for more information.
