Sadly Matt has mailed to say that he needs to postpone his talk due to a sudden and serious illness of a family member. Our thoughts are with Matt at this time.

We shall continue with a social evening at Film Oxford which will give us time to talk and network, then an early evening at the pub! See you at Catherine Street.

Matt will reschedule his talk for some time in the new year.

Adobe Community Professional Matt Gifford comes to Catherine Street to talk about Responsive Web Design (RWD) and creating mobile apps using PhoneGap.

We shall be running a free raffle for everyone present on the night. First prize: One-year's free subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.

Matt Gifford has worked as a web developer and website designer for over 10 years, and is enjoying it more now than ever. Having seen the way web technologies have changed and affected change, he views it as one of the most exciting and creative fields to work in.

The author of Object-Oriented Programming in ColdFusion (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Object-Oriented-Programming-ColdFusion-M-Gifford/dp/1847196322) and PhoneGap Mobile Application Development Cookbook (http://www.amazon.co.uk/PhoneGap-Mobile-Application-Development-Cookbook/dp/1849518580), Matt is a regular contributor to industry magazines .net and Web Designer, and the development panel expert for .net Magazine, answering readers’ questions on a monthly basis.

He is a consultant developer and owner of monkehWorks Ltd, based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and was contracted to the BBC to work on some special homepage projects for the Olympics and to ensure the licence fees were being spent wisely (on coffee).

When not in front of screens Matt plays the odd acoustic gig, spends time with his family and revisit everything he enjoyed in the 80′s.
