I work with the NLS/BPH in the Library of Congress which specifically serves visually and physically impaired patrons. I'm a jack-of-all-trades: cataloger, circ assistant, shelver, reference librarian, and large-print music proofreader. We are now beginning to put our material on the web in digital braille and digital audio files. I also work with audio preservation, and organizing the multitudes of data that we get from projects based on that. I'm really interested in the applications of FRBR and other relatively new ideas to comprehensive music collections to better aid in the discovery and use of music material.
Hello, I'm Katie! I'm a full-time music librarian at the Library of Congress. I'm a lover of all things music, food, and dogs.
