Whether it’s your 1st or your 50th meetup, come celebrate the 50th meeting of the Digital Flagstaff group! See old friends and make new ones interested in tech and entrepreneurship.
The location is the Toasted Owl on the east side of town near Highway 40 and Country Club Drive, at 5200 North Cortland Blvd.
Layout on the web with CSS Grid is awesome!
The web has never really had a true method for layout. In the beginning we got along by abusing tables and floats. More recently flexbox has been a useful method for layout, but it only worked along one axis. Now there is CSS Grid, finally a full-page layout system for modern and responsive HTML/CSS web pages. Supported in all modern evergreen browsers, CSS Grid is ready to be used for your next web project. Whether you're a complete novice or an old hand, I'll walk through the everlasting challenge of how to position elements next to each other on web pages, and by the end you'll have that "ah-ha!" moment and realize that CSS Grid is the future of layout that we've all been waiting for.

• What we'll do
You won’t believe the advances in 2D digital animation. New software such as Adobe Character Animator and Crazy Talk Animator 3 have placed animation tools into anyone’s hands that only Looney Toons and Hanna Barbera had a few years ago.
Ever want to do a quick explainer animation on your web site or put a full-length cartoon up on YouTube? Well with these new packages, a bit of creativity, and minimal sweat you can do in an afternoon what Walt Disney took months to do.
Join us Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM in the NACET conference room for a presentation on Breakthroughs in 2D Digital Animation by Tom Taylor.
Following the presentation we will discuss future topics and format changes for Digital Flagstaff meetings as well as our usual networking.
