Every day we’re assaulted by more adverts than ever before. As we, collectively, become ad-blind and the true value of those ads continues to plummet, large brands have turned to the world’s largest publishers to achieve editorial coverage that breaks through and actually gets read. Meanwhile, Google is increasingly relying on those same publishers as sources of authority online - links from those sites have never been more important. In this talk, I’ll take you through, step-by-step, how we achieved this for brands including GoCompare, Expedia and Babylon Health; and how you can to.

James is the Head of Innovation at Verve Search, where he concentrates on answering the ‘what next’ questions and working out how to get there faster. He's been in the industry for over a decade and describes himself as 'creatively geeky' - spending as much time on technical SEO as creative campaigns. Verve Search is an international-SEO agency based in London, that has won Best SEO Agency in Europe three out of the last four years running. We’ve worked with brands including Bentley, BBC, Uber and Expedia. Last year Verve's team built over 5k links from some of the biggest sites in the world - plus TV, radio and newspaper coverage - from publications in over 90 countries.

We are 100% volunteers. All our events are organized during our free time, which means we put a lot of goodwill and effort considering that this isn't our occupation (and we still have our daytime job to care about!). By participating you fully understand and agree with the limits and amateur nature of our community:
- Despite our best efforts and impeccable track record, we are in no way liable for any risk, damage or disappointment that may result from our activities.
- Event dates, time, venues and other details may change with short notice, so we ask you to double check all event information on the day before you come. We suggest that you enable automatic change notifications from this group on your Meetup profile settings: http://www.meetup.com/account/comm/Digital/
- You will need to buy your own drinks or food at the venue. When we have to cover costs (e.g. venue hire, logistics, Meetup fees), we may charge you for the event in order to share those expenses.
- Pictures, video and other data may be taken to promote our activities online. You may request to censor your personal data at any time; simply ask an event organizer.

We look forward to seeing you there! Remember to RSVP.
