About Agile Okanagan
This meetup group is an agile experience discussion group for software and other professionals to promote and support the use of agile methodologies in the workplace. Agile is a development methodology proven to deliver products faster and with higher quality in situations where customer requirements are largely unknown and/or rapidly moving marketplaces. Popular agile methodologies include Scrum, XP and Kanban.
This event is targeted to Developers, UX/UI designers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers, Project Managers, Start-up founders, Quality Assurance Analysts and Technical Writers or for anyone who wishes to implement Agile in their workplace or understand more about it.
In future sessions we will discuss different agile methodologies in depth, run workshops that feature hands-on exercises, discover different agile ceremonies and roles, discuss controversial topics such as “Does sprint 0 really exist?” and “how to set realistic expectations within your organization”, learn different techniques for agile planning and estimating, communicating requirements and incorporating automated testing and much more.
