• JAMMYLAND! Take Two

    Jammyland

So sad we had to cancel this one last time. Let's give it another try since this place is more than worth it. Plus the owners are super nice! Let's enjoy this outdoor venue with the weather cooling off. (We'll move inside if we need to, but the patio should be perfect!) This cocktail bar & reggae kitchen sits in the heart of the Las Vegas Arts District. Self proclaimed as "A reggae-fueled acid trip thru the roots of Caribbean cuisine," Jammyland features beautiful and thoughtful craft cocktails and some great Jamaican dishes. • Ada's - How About a Little Hanky-Panky?

"How about a little hanky panky?" Ada Coleman was head bartender at the Savoy Hotel in London for twenty-three years, one of only two women to have held that position. While working at the Savoy, she invented the "Hanky Panky” cocktail. Now I don't have a clue what these remarks on Ada's website have to do with the actual restaurant, but I've heard a lot of good things about this place and cant wait to try it! Brought to you by James Trees, the former Michael Mina chef who owns and operates downtown's highly-acclaimed Esther's Kitchen. THIS EVENT IS SUBJECT TO OUR "NO CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EVENT" POLICY!!!

  • Tacos & Beer

    Tacos & Beer

It's time to get the band back together! So to speak. Let's get this meetup rolling again! It was a rough year for me and I know Robin and Jordan have some exciting new adventures on their plates that have kept them busy. But we'd like to reboot this group... Now I know it's hotter than Hades right now, so the only cure I could think of is Tacos & Beer...Wouldn't you know it, there's a place in town called, "Tacos & Beer" in the former Firefly location on Paradise this place is getting quite a bit of buzz and I can't wait to try it out. Check out their menu here; https://tacosandbeerlv.com/ Hope to see some old friends and make new acquaintances! Please remember to RSVP. Ricci

  • Jammyland

    Jammyland

Jammyland opened a few months ago in the Arts District and is quickly gaining buzz as a go to location. Offering classic Jamaican cuisine and cocktails with a modern vibe, this restaurant/bar is definitely filling a gastronomical hole in the downtown Vegas culinary scene. Check out the menu here... https://jammy.land/ I really hope we have a great turn out to support this new venture. PLEASE READ: I've made the reservation for 7pm rather than our normal 6pm since it's tough getting around in all the construction and traffic. There is limited seating, so I'm strictly enforcing the the 48 hour cancellation rule. Please, if you can no longer attend, change your RSVP at least two days before the event or you will be removed from our Meetup group. But if you'd like to be added after the RSVP closes, just let me know via a direct message on here and I should be able to accommodate you.

  • Bajamar Seafood & Tacos

    BajaMar Seafood & Tacos

Woohoo! School's out for summer and I can't think of a better way to start it than with seafood, tacos and maybe a margarita (or three). (Update: Just found out they don't serve alcohol, but I still want those tacos!) BajaMar opened last year and has quickly become a Yelp darling. We need to check it out! https://www.bajamarbajastyle.com/menu It looks like it is a small location with limited parking, so if you're looking for someone to ride with, post a note below. Please don't forget to change your RSVP 48 hours prior to the meetup, if you can't attend.

  • Flock & Fowl - Charity Fundraiser

    Flock & Fowl

Wow! It's been too long since our last Meetup...but this should be a good one. On Tuesday, May 15 a charity event has committed several local restaurants to donate a portion of their profits to a cause near and dear to me. The donations will help underprivileged students with the cost of their graduation caps and gowns as well as college application fees. I've selected Flock and Fowl for our Meetup, but if you can't join us, please try to visit one of the other locations that day. Here is the link to the list of participating businesses. https://www.cisnevada.org/events/chow-down-for-caps-gowns-2018/ We've been to Flock and Fowl before, their twisted Asian inspired menu is divine and the Ogden is definitely right in the center of our vibrant downtown. If you missed our last meetup here, you're in for a treat! https://flockandfowl.com/menu/dtlv/ Please don't forget to change your RSVP 48 hours prior to the meetup, if you can't attend.
