Glass Blowing Studio

For those who did not get to attend the Spring Demonstration, they have fired back up for the Fall and have offered Discover GR another opportunity to see what they do. One of our members has his very own Glassblowing studio here in Grand Rapids and has offered to show us their process and allow us to watch them actually make the beautiful pieces we see in the Galleries. We did this Demo last Spring and it was so interesting.

Below are two of his web sites. Check them out!

I would have loved to have gone. I think the 9 noshows should not be able to attend the next two events period.

The glassblowing demo was so interesting. Thanks Scott and John for sharing your talent with us. We did have a terrible thing happen though...9 people who were on the RSVP list did not show up, which means 9 people who really wanted to go could have. The 9 non-show people will now only be able to go to the next meetup if there is not a waiting list.

It really is too bad, since it was well known that there was a waiting list!

I would have really liked to go to the glass blowing studio. Hopefully there will be another tour as well as for the Air Traffic Control tower. Everyone have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving.

It was very interesting, informative, and fun. The blowers Scott and John were great taking us through the process from start to finish.

I attended the holiday open house. Was a great time. Now there is one space open for today.

Can you ask the owner if you can have a second event here for all the people that could not get to go to the first one? This sounds like fun. Your events fill up so fast I can not get to go on any of them.

This studio on the North side of the road and is at the North end of a strip mall that is up on a hill. Drive around behind (west side) of the building and all the way to the end. Follow the "Meetup" signs.
