WORLD’S LARGEST WATER BALLOON FIGHT
We are teaming up with PartyCamp to throw a one day summer camp extravaganza, culminating with an attempt to break the record for the world’s largest water balloon fight on Saturday August 17th, 2013 at the Seattle Center.
We are also calling on volunteers to help fill water balloons the week leading up to the event. Volunteers will receive free admission to the event for one 3-hour shift of water balloon filling, and a Party Camp t-shirt if you volunteer for a second shift.
Party Camp will kick off with a Red Hook Brewery beer garden, summer camp games, and live music. At 4:00pm 12,000+ summer camp warriors will attempt to break the record for the largest water balloon fight.
The Guinness World Record is officially held by the University of Kentucky with 8,957 participants and 175,141 water balloons. After the water balloon fight, campers are encouraged to stick around for an expanded beer garden, live music, and to share their stories of the battle with fellow campers.
The goal of Party Camp is to raise $75,000 for Camp Korey, a local non-profit that provides children with serious and life altering medical conditions year-round recreational programs at no cost, with full support for the medical needs of campers.
