If you RSVP and paid and we don't have the minimum of 8 members you will get a full refund so don't be afraid to join. We have never failed in this regard.

Description: An Opportunity for those who have never Kayaked before or wish to enjoy a leisurely paddle down the Humber river for 2 hours on a Sunday Afternoon. TWA has done this before with cooperation from third party vendor who will supply boats, paddles and life-vests. The slow-moving river will allow you the opportunity to see the marshes , wetlands, wildlife and city landscapes of Toronto. You launch your kayak or canoe and on the water experienced guides are there to help you as you enjoy the scenic Humber River Adventure. This is a two hour guided adventure designed to make you comfortable in a kayak or canoe on calm water.

You can also CANOE provided you have a CANOE PARTNER specified in your RSVP. If you canoe, you or your canoe partner must know how to steer.

RSVP REQUIREMENTS : Everyone RSVP WAITING LIST and You MUST RSVP with one the following comments: If your answer is not complete, you may be moved to "NO" .

What to Bring: Water (500ML), Snacks, Sunscreen, bug repellant, Spare shoes/clothes/towel to leave in someone's car in case you tip over, sealed plastic bag (for cell phone, etc.). Camera if you are a confident kayaker.

If you are seriously interested on going on a 2-hour paddle - it is scheduled for August 5 at 12:15 PM but arrive at KINGSMILL PARK destination at 12:00 to check in with Walter and sign a waiver. The cost was advertised at $60 +Tax but we have negotiated a 50 % price deduction to $30 +Tax. The location is on the TTC Subway line under the Old Mill TTC Subway Station. Free Parking Available. Please read details below on where exactly to meet and try not to be late.

Toronto Kayak & Canoe Adventures will supply everything. Dress for the weather. Your feet may get wet or a bit muddy. This is great for beginners.

Directions:

TTC : 5 - 10 Minute Walk From Old Mill Station

Go To Old Mill TTC Subway Station,

which is located at the corner of Bloor Steet West and Old Mill Trail. (west of Jane St.)

- when you exit Old Mill Station

- turn RIGHT on Old Mill Trail,

- at stop sign turn RIGHT n Old Mill Road,

- you will now see the Old Mill Inn & Spa on your right hand side. Do not cross river.

- turn right into Kingsmill Park which is the road leading south next to the Old Mill Inn

- Kingsmill Park is located between the Old Mill Inn and the river, on the same side of the river as the Old Mill Inn.

-Walk or drive into Kingsmill Park and you will see our Guides / Canoes / Kayaks.

- if you take a wrong turn and cannot find us simply phone us [masked]

If Driving: (do not park at Old Mill Inn, pls. park in the free parking lots in Kingsmill Park

1)Go to Maps.Google.Ca and Click “Get Directions” in the top left.

2) Type your location of departure in the A Column and “Kings Mill Park” in the B Column, then click “Get Directions”.

These directions will bring you to Kings MIll Park, as you enter the park you will see us on your left side, you can park in either of the parking lots to your left or right.

Post Event: After the paddle , we can enjoy some beverages and/or meal at a nearby restaurant or pub (OPTIONAL).

Your organizer's refund policy for Intro to Kayaking/Canoeing HUMBER RIVER Guided Tour - Aug 5, 12:00 PM

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled

Additional notes: and I will refund if you cancel and a group member on Waiting List takes your spot and pays the $36 price to the Organizer

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.

Regardless of the refund policy set by the organizer, Meetup may issue refunds on an organizer's behalf if we determine that Meetup's Payment Policies have been violated.
