Monday, January 28th at 6:15 at NYIT: afterwards we will all be going to the Rooftop Bar Empire Hotel at 44 W. 63rd St at Broadway (they are expecting us and have extended happy hour just for our members) to talk with the speakers and fellow entrepreneurs and any Disrupter can come!!

Monday January 28th 2013 we will be holding the second Disruptive Technologists Meetup! (Same time, same place!) We had such a great time at the first event and we are SO excited with the feedback we can't wait to do it all over again! Remember to stay on the wait list -- spots do open; and if you have a spot and can't make it, be sure and let us know so we can give it to someone else! And if you make it into the event, we are getting together in the Penthouse Bar at Empire Hotel, right around the corner!

This time around we will be having a humorous evening with wacky ideas, quirky services and offbeat stories ranging from kooky investor pitches to a dog crazy founder to a developer who works all the time but his personal interest is power napping. Get your creative and outside-the-box thinking hat on and bring your wildest and most innovative ideas to the table. To get you out of your post-holiday funk we will be having comedy duo Stone and Stone, who are also the founders of Laughcake, a way to hire professional comedians make customized video greetings. So get excited and practice your laugh!

Our Disruptive Energy Drink -- 5-Hour Energy – will be there with rockin’ Brand Ambassadors giving out their cool new pink bottles; our Disruptive Flavored Drink -- Hint -- will be giving free sample bottles of its Essence Water; and to top it off our resident Disruptive Business Advisor, Tiger Cub Advisors, will be joining us again and giving away 3 business consulting sessions! So get ready for more fun raffles and prizes!

Doors open at 6:15 for networking and discussion begins at 6:40

**Announcing our Speakers:

1. J. Skyler Fernandes, Chairman at CareBooker.com, a service he founded that offers online booking for family care services, such as baby-sitting, tutoring/lessons, pet care and housecleaning. He has some wacky/off beat stories from launching the company over the past month and current reactions from investor (which tend not to be 30-40 yr. old women, our targeted demographic). He is also a venture capitalist at Centripetal Capital Partners, an early stage venture fund with an innovative investment structure, and invests across industry sectors.

2. Michael Chiang, Founder & CEO MatchPuppy.com. Match Puppy is a brand new way for you and your dog to meet new friends in your neighborhood, arrange and join playdates, “Whether for finding matches for a quick stroll in the park or just meeting up with other owners and their dogs to play some fetch and sniff some butts.” He also suggests you watch this video of a driving dog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWAK0J8Uhzk&feature=youtu.be

3.Josh Shabtai, Co-Founder & Creative Director, lm/nl. Josh is a game designer, interactive marketing pioneer and sci-fi geek. As creative director of lm/nl, he’s building game experiences and platforms that promise new breakthroughs in player immersion. Lm/nl partnered with Hasbro in 2012 to create Lazer Tag: AR, a hybrid toy blaster/iOS application and the world’s first real-life first person shooter. Earlier, the company created Star Wars Arcade: Falcon Gunner, the first AR Star Wars game. In 2012, Josh took home a Cannes Gold Lion and Gold Clio for Band-Aid Magic Vision: Starring the Muppets, which transformed everyday bandages into media experiences for parents and kids to share.

4. Dr. Justin Bazan, optometrist & owner of Park Slope Eye.

He pioneered the use of social media as a marketing tool. From day one, he knew that he would have a word-of mouth practice. He really only uses Facebook -- he has no website and has cut all the phone lines. "To date, we are the only office I know of that does not answer a phone," he said.

5. Andres F. Campanella, LoCreep.com

Student of computer science and mathematics at NYU. You may remember him from such memorable hacks as MugShot.js, Doach: The Dating Coach, LoCreep, and Breathalizer Pong. "I am currently studying machine learning, so I can employ predictive algorithms in the noble task of getting my tech friends laid." The site he can boast about is locreep.com, but it's a splash with a goodbye message, and a link to the video. There's also doach.biz, which is funny and has video too.
