Join us for our first meet-up of the year, on Wednesday February 19th at the Minster Exchange.
**You need to register on the DistilledLive page (https://www.distilled.net/events/distilled-live-london/) to secure your place**
Kicking off at 6:30pm with networking and nibbles, we'll then be welcoming 3 awesome speakers to take to the stage.
James Porter of Distilled will be teaching us the Viral Marketing Lessons every marketer should know.
This talk looks at what content 'goes viral' online and why. Are there shared characteristics of viral content? Do certain subjects or content types work better than others? James will share some ideas and insights before explaining how these can help to build links, social shares and brand awareness.
Joe Doveton of Global Maxer will be delving into the topic of Cultural CRO.
Are websites different in Belgium, Brazil and Bangladesh? Do online users actually behave differently in Ghana, Greece and Gabon? If you’re selling into different online markets how can you find out what is and what isn’t culturally important - and what is liked globally?
Point Proven's Gemma MacNaught will then wrap up the presentation section of the evening with her talk on Instinct, Evolution and Optimisation.
Between psychologists, historians and philosophers there has been an ongoing debate about whether our behaviours are instinctual or learned. Since understanding our users is key to the success of our online marketing efforts, Gemma will be taking a look at some of the common behaviours that date back to our primitive ancestors and looking into whether we can we apply these insights to optimize our experiences for our audiences today.
There'll then be more time for networking and drinks before we bid farewell for the evening.
