At Eriez Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Our Eriez Toastmasters club is made up of 10 to 30 people who meet twice a month for about an hour and a half. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation. In October 1924, a group of men assembled by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley met in the basement of the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, U.S.A., forming a club “to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members.” The group took the name “Toastmasters.” The Eriez Toastmasters Club is Erie's oldest Club with over 50 years serving our community and our members.

Our meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. The meetings start at 6:30 and end at 8:00. We set up and network about 6:15, so please come early so we can meet and explain the meeting process. The meetings are held at the Whole Foods Co-op Community Room, located at 1341 West 26th Street. We have a great group of members who are working on their speaking and leadership skills. So come to a meeting, join us in fun and personal growth!
