Dance the 21 Praises of Tara on April 28 with Pia Hagan who will share with us the substantial positive life changes doing this dance can bring.

In this class Pia will share an Introduction to The 21 Praises of Tara and lead us in invoking Tara and dancing her Qualities. By dancing these Qualities, we will reveal our inner nature as an aspect of the Goddess Tara. The body responds and Tara appears through the movements filling us with light. We will feel Taras’ blessing as something that arises from within. Regardless of Buddhist experience, the rhythmic movements allow the mind to relax into the meditation. This dance gives us the opportunity to not only transform our self-perception but also to transform our perspective of the world. By transforming our perspective, the world itself is transformed. We will offer all that is precious to us and send the blessings to each other and out into the world. In moving together we will celebrate the interconnectedness of us all. Pia is dedicated to share the gift of this “living” lineage and moving meditation as it has been taught with much support through Prema Dasara and Tara Dhatu. Explore the Realm of the Enlightened Feminine as it reaches across the planet, a quiet revolution of consciousness.

Dancing in the first 21 Praises of Tara Mandala, Pia Hagan instantly recognized the transformative power of this dance; and made the commitment to engage in these practices and training for the last 10 years. Seeking freedom of expression and being a seeker of truth, her creative adventures led her to go deep into the dance. With this support and training she has recognized the in her life. She has been sharing these practices and Praises to Tara with a circle of women weekly on the California coast for 3 1/2 years. With a strong desire to explore and go deeper, she aspires to share this sacred gift with others to bring balance to the Earth, our lives and benefit all humanity.

She has practiced Tai Chi for 20 years, choreographed her own performance pieces and was lead singer/songwriter for all girl band in the 90’s. She has been model, a body painter, and an underground DJ. Being a Mother has been one of the greatest Teachers of all. Music and dance have always been an important part of her life. She is a level Three Teacher of Tara Dhatu Student Teacher Program. Pia is also an Artist, Singer & Personal Chef.

She is available to lead workshops and lead the Mandala Offering which requires 3 days of practice and a commitment of 22 woman.

Tara Dhatu is a worldwide non-profit organization formed to protect the integrity of the dance as a vehicle of Liberation. The dance is a full spiritual practiced and has been described by H.H. The Dalai Lama as “A true vehicle to enlightenment."
