What we're about

The Divorce Support & Social Group has been established for Melbournians who have gone through or are going through a relationship break up.

We are a gateway to meeting others experiencing a similar life change and developing new friendships. Our emphasis is on fun whilst helping and supporting each other.

We hold free monthly seminars, workshops and socials. We also have our own divorce resources guide with suggestions from our members.

Our regular social gatherings include drinks and chats, casual coffees, social nights and activities. Meetings are informal and open to all.

Better not bitter is our motto!

We look forward to catching up.

Rediscover your purpose! - Part 3 of our Divorce Recovery seminar series

Helping your journey be better not bitter! - Joint event of the Divorce Support & Social Group & Melbourne Divorce Support Group.

In part 3 of our divorce recovery series Connie is presenting a practical workshop in Vision Boarding to help everyone rediscover their purpose. Vision Boarding is a physical way of untangling and prioritising our aims and goals and focusing on the things that are really important to us.

Purpose is a very important part of the divorce recovery process to move forward positively in life. With all the negative thoughts following a break up it is normal for our purpose to become clouded and sometimes lost.

Connie will take you through all the techniques she has learned with vision boarding to help self-examine all parts of your life. Vision Boarding has been a great compass to her to organise the chatter and dreams and aspirations in her head through the difficult times. She will teach you the lessons she has learned in her journey through trial and error.

This workshop will help you rediscover your deeper meaning and balance areas of your life which perhaps have been neglected but can lead to a better and more meaningful life.

Afterwards, for those not ready to go home, we will cross the road to Brunetti's for a drink, chat and food for those who are hungry.

Our seminars are all free!

We hope to see you!

Hiking for Health and Happiness! - Werribee Gorge Circuit

Meikles Point Picnic Area

A great day's hike in Werribee Gorge State Park, this circuit walk explores the rugged terrain of the park's eponymous gorge. Initially heading up to the high point of the trail through Eucalypt forest, the trail descends into the deep gorge as it follows the Werribee River. The trail features a mix of easy to moderate walking as well as some fun scrambling around the edges.

The Loop is a popular hike of approximately 8.5 kilometers and is expected to take 3.5 hours. It is rated a Grade 3 walk and should be suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Grade 3 means the walk will have some hilly sections and/or rougher terrain.

For anyone interested afterwards we will go for a coffee and chat at Baby Black Espresso Bar which is rated number 1 coffee shop in Bacchus Marsh on TripAdvisor (see cafe photo below).

Please read the waiver liability before you RSVP :

Social – Welcome to new members & catch up for regulars - City

Royal Melbourne Hotel

Never been to one of our meet-ups before? Been a member for a while or just joined? Either way this is the social for you!

Once a month we hold a special meet-up to welcome in new members. Regulars are encouraged to attend and help new members have a fun night out!

Our monthly “newbie” social is an opportunity to learn about our groups, events held and resources to help members.

More importantly it is an opportunity to meet others going through separation & divorce in a safe and friendly environment. It helps to talk about our experiences and life changes with people who are interested and can relate. We can all learn from each other but the primary aim of the socials is to enjoy ourselves!

Our socials are hosted by members of the Divorce Support & Social Group and the Melbourne Divorce Support Group.

Wednesday night at the RMH is $15 pizza or pasta night with a drink!

We pay for own food and drinks individually.

Please RSVP if you are attending to ensure we book sufficient seats.
When you arrive at the venue ask for the table booked under the name “Meetup”.

Also note that times and venues are subject to change so please check beforehand.

Any questions please phone Paul Davies on ph[masked].

We hope to see you!
