DivorceCare is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Support groups are facilitated by people who've survived a divorce themselves - they "get it" and help lead the conversation in an environment that is empathetic and non-judgmental. The typical group size is 15+, with an age range from the 20's through 60's, and from virtually all walks of life.
You'll learn from DivorceCare resources designed to help you deal with the pain of the past and present...and gain practical, sound insight as you take steps to rebuild your life. You can drop-in anytime during DivorceCare's 12 week repeating cycle. You'll find care and support even if you attend just one DivorceCare session.
Topics include anger, loneliness, new relationships, depression, forgiveness, finances, children, reconciliation, "moving on" and more. And even though sessions center on insight from the Bible, you don't have to be a church member, a Christian or even religious. Embrace what you're hearing or not...there's no judgment (really!) - just hope, healing and understanding. FREE REGISTRATION (http://www.occ.org/divorcecare/) for DivorceCare is recommended but not required.
A 6 pm - 6:30 pm BBQ meal is offered each Tuesday ($4 suggested donation). Child care is offered Tuesday evenings for newborns through age 12 (info (http://www.occ.org/divorcecare)). For further help/information, please email Kenzie or call her at 425.895.5923.
