One for the beginners - If you want to slightly cheat with the pre-req steps...

Create a text file called say docker-pulls.txt

Paste the following list into it:
    hello-world
    alpine
    seqvence/static-site
    microsoft/dotnet:1.0.0-preview1
    node:5.11.0-slim
    python:2.7-alpine
    redis:alpine
    postgres:9.4
    python:alpine
    ruby:alpine

(try not to leave a blank line at the end) and then run while read ee ; do docker pull $ee ; done <./docker-pulls.txt

if you are on your own PC
    or
add a “sudo” like so: while read ee ; do sudo docker pull $ee ; done <./docker-pulls.txt

if you are running it on a linux IaaS in the cloud.
 This will pull a copy of all the needed docker images into your platform. You'll only then have the docker compose bit to run at the end.

Hope that helps someone - any questions just ask - or if I've missed something just shout

    Cheers
    ian

Do I need a Linux based machine if I come to this, or is a Windows machine ok?
