POSTPONED- Classic Who Night: Sixth Doctor: The Ultimate Foe
My apologies, but due to a personal scheduling conflict, we’re going to have to reschedule Classic Who Night this month. We'll be meeting at two weeks later, Saturday, June 23rd at the Winchester Pub in Alamo Heights. We'll be in the private room near the front of the restaurant. There's parking in the front and behind the restaurant. This site is a bit smaller than our old room at the Lion and Rose, hence the lowered number of reservations available. Please update if you find you're unable to attend. Here’s a link to their menu: https://www.thewinchesterpub.com/plates The Ultimate Foe was the unbroadcast title given to episodes 13 and 14, the concluding episodes of The Trial of a Time Lord, the series-long storyline that constituted Season 23 of Doctor Who. The on-screen title was simply The Trial of a Time Lord. This story marked the final televised appearance of Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor. After much controversy had surrounded the Sixth Doctor's era, the BBC decided to recast the Doctor the following year to start with a clean slate, ending Baker's tenure prematurely. As a result of Baker's removal from the role the next episode would begin with the sudden regeneration of the Sixth Doctor into the Seventh Doctor, Colin Baker himself not returning to film his Doctor's regeneration scene. Synopsis: Charged with genocide by the treacherous Valeyard at his trial, the Doctor receives help from an unlikely source to turn the tide of the High Council's rulings in his favour and reveal the Valeyard as a wrongdoer- the Master. For the Valeyard's own crimes are so atrocious, even the Doctor's archenemy will help him to ensure that the villain won't see the light of day again. Cornered, the Valeyard flees to the Matrix, where he can be the Doctor's judge, jury and executioner... regeneration of the Sixth Doctor into the Seventh Doctor, Colin Baker himself not returning to film his Doctor's regeneration scene. What we're about

Started in July of 2008, Doctor Who Fans Unite is a group of people who love the Doctor in all of his various forms. Regardless of whether you are only fan of the older series or the new or even if you are only a Torchwood fan, this is the group for you. We are dedicated to anything and everything related to The Doctor.

We welcome anyone with an interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy. Our group meets on a monthly basis. We discuss, watch and debate all aspects of the Who Universe.

We are also a Nonprofit Corporation registered with the state of Texas. Doctor Who Fans Unite has been created to bring together fans of the long time running television show Doctor Who. We have united ourselves with the common interest of the show and now, in following with the beliefs of the main character, our mission is to serve the community as a group.

We participate in various charitable events, such as walks, telethons etc. We raise money for established charities and causes as Doctor Who Fans Unite, thus helping others while promoting awareness of our group. We will accept monetary contributions that are designated for established charities.

All of our Nonprofit Endeavors are on a strictly volunteer basis.
