What we're about

This group is for people who want to intelligently and respectfully discuss the issue of whether God exists.

I wrote this all out so beautifully and then lost it all with a click of a button. I do not like this Meetup site but what can you do!

Basically, this group will continue with its current trajectory of looking at the positive and negative arguments for God's existence. We will be utilizing critical thinking, informal logic, mathematics, science, and philosophy in these discussions, as well as experiences and emotions from time to time.

This group is good for sincere truth seekers - people who want to intellectually understand these arguments. I hope that people from all walks and beliefs will come here to explore this important issue.

We have already spent time with the Moral Argument and am currently on the Problem of Evil. Once we get done with the POE, we will circle back briefly to discuss the interplay between the Moral Argument and the POE. Then off to new waters - the Fine Tuning Argument.

This group has been great fun but my original desire was to have atheists, theists, and agnostics in the group. We have had a few non-theists in the group and we certainly want more to share this journey with us. We had a particularly fun and interesting non-theist once. I particularly liked having him in the group because I seemed to laugh a lot with him and I needed that so much after my mom died. So humor and humility are greatly appreciated qualities in this group.

Welcome all sincere truth seekers. Come join us on our journey!
