Dog Whisperer On-line Meetup

  • Sep 19, 2012 · 5:30 PM

We are going to continue to have these meeting because people from other areas join us and we take ONE discipline a month to work on.

At the July meeting we talked about our dogs and the key problem we are working with and the move to the topic of the month. In this meeting our focus is on creating the migration walk. Here in Arizona, it is the chance to develop relationships and sueeport while working in the comfort of our homes on behaviors that are problems.

In the fall, in October, we will add in person meetups around the valley.

If you haven't done this before, we recommend that you be 30 minutes early so if you have problems, we can help you, where we wont be able to once to session begins.

Call me before hand if there are any issues.

I had just rescued my 1 year old chihuahua, and he is a very sweet and shy pup. Very fun and playful as well, but he goes off at times at dogs who sniffs him and gets in his "personal space" and also at kids who are being very sweet to him (they do not tug or do anything that should annoy him). As sweet as he is, it worries me that he gets snippy at times and I would like to know what would bother him and need to practice getting him to socialize with people more.

My Great Dane is well socialized, and has received lots of training. My problem is that he is 2 years old, weighs 150, and is stronger than me. Sometimes he has ideas of his own, which makes him a lousy loose leash walker, and healing is also difficult. I frequently feel I'm going to be tumbled down, or that i'll lose him. So, for exercise I take him to a dog park. I want to know when I can expect to be able to walk him around the block.
