When: September 19,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
Edgware Road Tube
Edgeware Road Tube, Edgeware Road, Maida Vale
London EC1A 4DD

Hello all!

The meetup location for this week is Little Venice in Maida Vale. This location is a pretty good all-rounder, as there is a wide range of things to draw.

Little Venice has been around for a while now, so there are plenty of old buildings to draw, but there are also some very new buildings and locations to sketch as well. The nice thing about this area is that the old and new are actually quite seperate, divided as they are by a bridge. You can be in the ultra-modern side of the Paddington Basin drawing contemporary office towers and walk to the other side of the bridge to find old town houses, narrow boats and resteraunts.

There should also be plenty of opportunities to draw people. There is a picnic area aroun the newer buildings, which means you won't have to worry so much about people wandering about while you try to sketch them because they'll be sitting down. The area also attracts tourists, so there should be people to draw on both sides of the bridge.

There will also be a chance to draw some wildlife, as there are always plenty of waterbirds around the canals, ducks and geese and maybe a swan or two if you're very lucky. One of the group members is very into drawing geese, so that should keep them happy if they show up, you know who you are...

There is also the option of going into nearby Camden, if the people who attend fancy going. We can even go by boat if you like.

So...the meeting location will be a statue of a windowcleaner by Allan Sly just outside Edgeware Road Tube . The tube has two exits, so hopefully meeting here will be a bit less confusing, plus it will give those who show up early something to draw.

We will start as usual at 11am and finish between 3-4pm...after which we will take a well-earned trip to one of the local pubs, which is really the only reason I turn up to these things.

I think that's everything...If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to get in touch. Hope to see loads of you on Saturday!!

John.
