Free For All Art
Don’t have room for art supplies in your budget? We got supplies! Got space but love the inspiration of creating with others? We got others! All ages. We will put out colored pencils, oil pastels, pastels, watercolors, sharpies, charcoals, paper, glue, collage items, google-eyes, etc., and we will set out a still life for anyone who wants to stop by to create. No acrylics or oil paints please. I open my house to anyone who wants to join me for free art there, every Saturday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. With the nice weather we have been outside. Early enough to still have a date! We have a core group but have room for 5 more. My house is just across the bridge in downtown Vancouver. I provide snacks but you need to bring your own beer. Of course, all the art supplies will be available too. I don't want to post my address, so please email me for directions at thegallerychapel at gmail.com. What’s the catch? No catch. Some churches hand out free meals. Some churches hand out free clothes. The Gallery Chapel hands out free art opportunities every Saturday. Call[masked] for more information. Whether you attend to create or kibbutz, whether you are 8 or 80, you are welcome to come explore your artistic side.

What we're about

No art experience is required for this drinking and drawing group, which roams the greater Portland area (though wine drinking experience does help!). We are dedicated to linking our members up with as many social drawing opportunities as possible. We organize our own events, and publicize events from like-minded groups such as Urban Sketchers and ASIFA, the Portland chapter for the International Animation Society. Started by Leah Kohlenberg, who runs The Roaming Studio online and onsite art classes (www.theroamingstudio.com), and co-organized by Mike Reese, Temris Ridge and Andrea Matthews.
