This month we have two presentations so far confirmed:
- Entity Dialog: Josh Walker, from Vancouver is an experienced Drupal developer with MarmaladeSoul. Josh will present on Entity Dialog, a module he has developed together with colleagues at MarmaladeSoul. The Entity Dialog module provides an overlay-like dialog for entity CRUD forms. Josh was previously Brisbane-based and was part of the core team for both DrupalCamp at UQ in June 2010 and DrupalDownunder in Jan 2011.
- Drupal Bootstrap: Vladimir Roudakov senior developer at Technocrat will present on Drupal Bootstrap, a base-theme bridges the gap between Drupal and the Bootstrap Framework.
Location: Thanks to Flight Centre for providing the venue this month. We are trying out this venue to see how it suits the needs of the group - given the space and noise issues at our regular venue: Irish Murphy's. This building houses Flight Centre's corporate headquarters - and we'll be on the fourth floor. Entry is not via the Flight Centre retail shop-front on the corner of Queen & Adelaide Streets - but rather is via the office building portico/foyer about 80m further up Queen St.
Building Access: Given parking arrangements we will try to kick-off at about 7.15pm. We'll ensure someone will be downstairs until 7.15pm to let you into the building. We'll try to have someone do late-comer runs at 7.20pm, 7.25pm and 7.30pm. Later than that please call Tony[masked] or Sean[masked]
Parking: Note that there is street parking near to 545 Queen St - however most of it starts from 7pm. Also note that as of January this year, parking-meters in the CBD need to be paid for between 7pm and 10pm. Depending on the zone the rate is either $1 per hour or $2 per hour. So nearby the most ample metered parking would seem to be on Ann St - just south of Queen St.
Food/drinks: if you are coming and interested in eating pizza and drinking beer, let us know in the comments so we can get organised.
GDO link: Meetup planning/discussion is sort of bi-located between here and GDO because not all Drupal developers maintain an account on, or monitor, meetup.com: https://groups.drupal.org/node/305948
