No jokes, no yoga mats - at Dubai Pop-up Laughter Club we laugh for no reason whatsoever.

Our pop-up sessions are based on Laughter Yoga exercises that combine unconditional laughter (no jokes) with breathing exercises from Yoga (no yoga kit) and Positive Psychology interventions.

WHY SHOULD I COME?
Laughter Yoga is a fun way to reduce stress, boost resilience and unleash creativity. Oh, and it is good exercise too!

DO I NEED TO BE HAPPY OR FUNNY?
No, because these exercises are about fake laughter. So it doesn't matter if you are happy or not. As long as you can say "hahaha", you're fine.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Just yourself and an open mind . All exercises can be done in your normal clothes and no equipment or gear is needed.

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
We do a little warm-up and stretches, then we launch into the laughter exercises and finish with a short meditation.
All exercises are done standing (but can be done seated, let the instructor know), meditation can be done seated or lying down.

WHEN DO YOU MEET?
The hint is in the name - events will pop up! Check our events section or join the group so you don't miss the next Dubai Pop-up Laughter Club meeting.

CAN ANYBODY DO THESE EXERCISES?
Basically, yes - BUT: This is physical exercise and there are times when you should NOT participate or use great caution. For example:
- if you have a cough or cold, you should not do these heavy breathing exercises
- if you have a back ache or injury,
- if you have a heart condition etc.

DO I NEED TO PAY TO ATTEND?
That depends on the venue. If we are indoors (especially during the hotter months), there will be a charge upfront to cover the cost for the venue and to secure limited space. We will aim to spread the cost among participants - so the more people attend, the better. Pricing will be stated with each event.

Cost: please pay your own entry fee to the park at the gate. Donations to the host welcome. Each session has a different theme, and you are welcome to suggest new or different topics!!! In the cooler month's when we meet outdoors there is only a fee for park entrance or parking that you pay directly at the meter or park gate. In the hotter months, we will charge 35AED per session per person to cover cost for the venue.
