Roman Catholic parish registers: a vital 19th century source


Máire Mac Conghail, currently vice-president of the Association of Professional Genealogists in Ireland, is a genealogist and historical researcher for many years. She also tutors adult education classes in South County Dublin. She co-authored, with her colleague Paul Gorry Tracing Irish Ancestors (HarperCollins, 1997). Máire is a member of the Irish Manuscripts Commission, the National Archives Advisory Council and is a fellow and Council member of the Irish Genealogical Research Society.
