Hey gang,

we have some great talks lined up for our June DublinJS meetup. The talks will be:

"ECMAScript 6 Features" - Martin Micunda @martinmicunda (

ECMAScript 6, also known as ECMAScript 2015, is the upcoming version of the ECMAScript standard. In this talk we are gonna cover many of the new ES6 features. If you are interested to know how to start using ES6 today checkout my previous talk

"Streaming Classical Music with HTML5 Audio" - John Smyth @sciritai (

The trials behind building an MVP for streaming classical music and the ways html5 audio can help with that. Using Ember to get a fast single page app.

"Keeping up with Javascript: The Never-Ending Story" - Serena Fritsch, Storyful @serifritsch (

The world of Javascript is ever-changing. In this talk we'll be discussing how Storyful's use of the language has evolved from plain-old-javascript to more complex frameworks such as AngularJS in the search for modularity and stability; we share our pain-points, lessons learned and golden moments.

Running Times (subject to change)

7.00 - 7.25 - Talk #1

As we have a limited capacity venue we have to set a cap on the number of RSVPs and will have a waitlist in operation. If you can't make it please release your RSVP so others can use it. Entry into the Intercom office is only possible from 6.30pm onwards.

Hot food isn't provided (unless there's leftovers ;-)) but you're more than welcome to grab snacks and drinks.

We will also be running two meetups in July. A Lightning Talk meetup on the usual first Tuesday of the month, but also in conjunction with EmberJS Dublin ( we are running an EmberJS Special. This is to celebrate the release of 2.0. Details will be announced in the next week or so.

Looking forward to seeing you all then,
David, Cormac & Pat
