so as it’s the last meetup of the year it’s going to a biggie! We have 3 awesome talks lined up for you all.
Optimise your web development workflow with DevTools - Umar Hansa, Springer Nature (@umaar)
We’re delighted to have Umar Hansa, who runs the popular Dev Tips DevTools site, giving a talk. The audience can expect to learn hidden DevTools secrets but also how to adopt a modern development and debugging workflow. This talk is important for any web developer who wants to understand and debug the internals of a webpage quickly and with ease. A big shoutout to Google Developer Experts for helping arrange the talk.
Angular 2 Intro - Simona Cotin (@simona_cotin)
A bigger picture - Ingrid Epure, Intercom (@ingridepure)
Humans are different. Some are more visual, some use auditory or movement to learn. Some are artists, while others understand the universe by solving equations. So how do you make an impact on everyone? How do you arrange data in such a way that it has an impact and is meaningful? Our brains not only process visuals faster, but they retain and transmit much more information when it’s delivered visually. In this talk we will explore some tools that help with visualizing data, along with current trends and areas that benefit most from it.
A big shout out to our sponsors Intercom, who will be providing pizza and beer at the meetup. Here's a bit about them:
Intercom is the first to bring messaging products for sales, marketing & customer service to one platform, helping businesses avoid the stiff, spammy status quo and have real conversations that build real connections. Designed to feel like the messaging apps you use every day, Intercom lets you talk to consumers almost anywhere: inside your app, on your website, across social media and via email.
For this meetup WE ARE MOVING TO THE VAULTS IN DOGPATCH LABS. A big shout to them for facilitating us. This means we can bump the capacity from our usual 90 to 130 🎉 But as ever we’ll be running a waitlist so please release your RSVP if you cannot make it. As an extra note, the earlier you release your RSVP the more chance people have of arranging to come along. Generally RSVPs released on the day of the meetup go to waste.
