This workshop will focus on the use of R and JAGS to perform Bayesian Data Analysis to solve assessing the quality of coin mints based on coin toss results from coins produced by the various mints.
Unlike previous workshops, this will be a standalone workshop, and is aimed at any and all people interested in the subject. Attendance to previous workshops will NOT be assumed. All attendees are highly recommended to bring a laptop, as this workshop will be very interactive. Wifi is available at the venue and is high quality.
This workshop will focus on the practical use of Bayesian inference. We will take an interative approach to the construction of models, as well as performance considerations. We will take a hierarchical approach to model complexity, and will also discuss modeling the noise in the data collection process.
Particular focus will be placed on data visualisation, and all the code and data will be available via github prior to the workshop.
A small cover fee will be charged to cover the cost of the venue.
