What we're about

This group is suitable for people passionate and love travelling, discovering not only new places but they are also curious about other cultures.

Come together to inspire each other, to share your own trip experiences, talking about your next destinations and get suggestions or ideas from other members.

Please be in mind, that might be the chance to find also members travelling with, just please keep in touch and organize it by yourself!

Although the meetup is for meeting people, it does not exclude the possibility to share your own experiences directly on this page. That means if would like to recommend any destinations or advise your journey experience just let us know. I think it will be highly appreciated. My advice is to skip to promote something like hotels, travel agency, or anything else related with that. If a member is interested on that just share it by private messages, thanks for your understanding.

I' m trying to organise different kind of events but it's hard to book a place especially if people are not very commitment. So most of the activities will be about walking/ hiking but there will be some night out and games too.

Also any suggestions are very welcome ! Don't always wait for the organizer to do that. As you are a part of this group I expect your active participation. Don't be just a number but a member of this group.

Last but not least, please be always respectful towards other cultures, religions, sexual orientation, different point of view,... both when writing something here or meeting people.

Also change your RSVP last moment or no show up is not acceptable. If you do that few times you will remove from the group.

Interested? Please answer to the questions, upload a real picture of yourself otherwise you request won't be accepted. We want a real and active person.

Thanks for your understanding.

Joining us and have a fun!!

Take care

Renato

Bray Head Walk Cross

Bray Dart Station Car Park

PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE JOINING THANKS!! Organise yourself for anything you need to take this walk (bus ticket, cash, water, find the meeting point, note my phone number...) and be on time at the meeting time. Trying to push yourself for keeping closer to others and to me. So please faster pace sometimes but we will stop for some short breaks. Wrap yourself bring always comfortable better hiking shoes and a waterproof garment as we are in Ireland. To get some of the most stunning views of Bray, look no further than Bray Head. The hill dominates the end of the promenade and the stone cross atop the hill is an iconic feature of the town. While the climb is not particularly daunting, some parts can be a bit of a challenge and require some scrambling. But if the hike up doesn’t leave you breathless the views sure will! Be prepared for a bit of a scramble up rocks at the top. The path can get quite mucky when it rains so dress appropriately. At the top of Bray Head there is a stone cross which was placed there in 1950 during the Holy Year. From here you get a magnificent panoramic vista of Bray, North East Wicklow and Dublin Bay. You can also see some of Bray Head’s neighbouring mountains, the Great and Little Sugar Loaf and Carrickgollogan, locally known as Kathy Gallagher. Then we keep going to Greystones direction with an amazing view on the way but we won't reach that place, at some point we will turn back to Bray by a coastal path for having some food /drinks together. The total hiking/walking should be between around 8/10 Km Meeting point: outside the main entrance at Bray Dart Station at 12:45 (you can see a big cars and buses park). If you coming by Dart from the city : once you get off from the train you need to go to the opposite side of the platform and going outside the station for meeting us . If you take the train from Dart Dublin Connolly station the departures is at 11:59 and it arrives to Bray at 12:42 Please also checking from what station in the city centre the train is available as there will be working in progress and once a month some stations on Sunday are close. I will take the bus N. 155 around 11:00 so if you wanna come with me, please send me a private message in advance in order to arrange that. Please have a look on the Dublin bus for the route so you can take it at your convenient stop. For the journey by bus, it costs € 2.50 by leap card, 3.30€ by cash (exact fare and only coins accepted, no banknotes) If you bring a friend or more, that's fine and good (the more the merrier) but please insert the number in your RSVP " +1, +2..." Thanks You can reach me faster by whatsapp on [masked] so I highly recommended you note down my phone number!!! The event is free of charge but tips are very welcome :-) I hope you can join us and enjoy it!!! Cheers Renato
