Movie: James Bond 50th Anniversary Series

The Carolina Theatre in Durham is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond 007 franchise with a series of the hit movies. Come on out for Never Say Never Again at 7 pm followed by For Your Eyes Only at 9:30. Come to one or both.

Meet Lucy in the upstairs lobby between 6:30 and 6:45 for the first show.

7 pm - Never Say Never Again (Sean Connery-1983)

A SPECTRE agent has stolen two American nuclear warheads, and James Bond must find their targets before they are detonated.

9:30 pm - For Your Eyes Only (Roger Moore - 1981)

After disposing of a familiar looking face, Bond is sent to recover a communication device, known as an ATAC, which went down with a British Spy ship as it sunk. Bond must hurry though, as the Russians are also out for this device. On his travels, he also meets Melina Havelock, whose parents were brutally murdered. Bond also encounters both Aristotle Kristatos and Milos Colombo. Each of them are accusing the other of having links with with the Russian's. Bond must team up with Melina, solve who the true ally is and find the ATAC before it's too late. Written by simon

Well, I cannot read - Missed the JB movies, but saw Fill the Void about Hasidim in Israel - very good movie - nice peek into a culture and way of life that is totally foreign to me :)
