Our third look into the elements of design will be all about colors. Colors, more than any other design element, determine the emotional content of a photograph, and set the mood of a shot. Colors can do much to attract the eye, and contrasts can make it skip from one part of a photo to another. To learn more about colors, go through this link.
We will meet at the Baniyas Square station. We will gather at street level, outside Exit 1, and walk together to the Spice Market. The location is extremely crowded, and parking spaces are very limited, so please do not attempt to drive. If you need help finding us, call the EPyC hotline on 052 9288432.
Before we set out, your hosts will say a few words, and then you will be free to wander around, either by yourself with them. The sun will set at 5:43 PM, so if you want to stay out for a long time, consider carrying a tripod. However, we will also be hosting a second photowalk on an abra immediately after this one and right next door. Needless to say, your tripods will be of limited use there.
When you are finished, upload your best work here for critique; post images of different subjects to make your work interesting to others. Please only post images where colors are a prominent part of the picture. We strongly encourage each of you to critique other people's work by first telling us what you like about it, and then what you think could be improved. Remember, critiques are meant to help us improve our skills, so don't take any criticisms personally.
