Long exposures are interesting: your camera can 'see' things you cannot. Ever wanted to try your hand at these, or just wondered how they work? All you have to do is show up at the creek a little before sunset, and friendly EPyC organizers will be there to answer your questions.
A few possible subjects for your photos include reflections in the creek, the well-lit heritage buildings facing the water, and passing boats. Do remember to bring your tripod along if you'd like good results. We also recommend bringing along a shutter release cable, if you have one.
We will assemble outside the restaurant Kan Zaman, on the creek. You can find a link to a map near the top of this page. To get to the meetup point from the Ghubaiba metro station, walk to the creek, turn left, and follow the water. Alternatively, you can park behind Al Khaleej Road, on the way to Shindagha Tunnel, and walk through the heritage village. As usual, if you need help finding us, call the EPyC hotline on 052 9288432.
When you are finished, upload your best shots here for critique; please try to post images of different subjects to make your work interesting to others, and limit your uploads to images involving long exposures. We strongly encourage each of you to critique other people's work by first telling us what you like about it, and then what you think could be improved. Remember, critiques are meant to help us improve our skills, so don't take any criticisms personally.
