Dear Members

Let me start off by saying how pleased I am to see many of you turned up for our photowalks this weekend. We have already had 3 successful photowalks this weekend: the ghost town of Jazirat Al Hamra, the Sharjah Biennial and Jaddaf shipyard. As always, you will be able to see pictures and much more at our website, http://www.meetup.com/EmiratesPhotoClub/

I wanted to let you know we have two other big events planned for this week. On Tuesday, we welcome guest presenter Sebastian Opitz, who will be talking to us about cityscapes and architecture, including how he uses time lapses to show movement. For those of you who are not already familiar with Sebastien's work, please take a look at his website, Ablaze with Light: http://www.ablazewithlight.com/
Do join us for what promises to be a special evening. We live in a part of the world with extraordinary potential for original pictures of iconic structures, and this is your chance to learn how to make the best of that. We will also be making a very special announcement at the meetup, so be sure to RSVP on the site.
This biweekly meetup will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at the Shelter in Al Quoz, Dubai.

Also we will be hosting the eighth session of amateur to confident photography training by Jason at More Cafe tomorrow. He will be discussing light, including the use of speedlights. As photographers, practically everything we do involves knowing how to use light, so don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to learn about how to get better photographs. As always, you can RSVP on our website.

Hope to see you all soon!

Best regards,
Amr Anabtawi
