Who are we?
In the fall of 2010, Xtreme Obstacle Course Runners (X.O.C.R.) was established as an obstacle course training program. The program was developed to give all athletic levels (couch potato to super athlete) the practical experience, training and knowledge to effectively negotiate an obstacle course race without fear (or to reduce the feeling of fear).

What is an obstacle race?
An obstacle race is a series of challenging physical stations, meant for fun for the average, the athletic, an individual, or as a team. These races aim to test speed, strength and endurance. They typically include running (or walking), climbing, jumping, crawling, swimming, and balancing. Some courses include special challenges of ice water, electrical wires and even zombies. Sometimes courses involve mental challenges, as well!

What is our program about?
The E.O.C.R. program is based after the U.S. Army’s Special Forces “Selection” prep training program. For years, the military obstacle course has been used as a way to familiarize recruits with the tactical movements, physical training, teamwork-building, and problem solving skills used in combat. Typical courses involve obstacles the participants must climb over, crawl under, balance, hang, and jump. Puddles of muddy water, ropes/nets, and "no touch" restrictions are often employed to increase difficulty. The obstacle courses are normally outside and are meant to familiarize the recruits to the outdoor environment they will be performing in.

Why join our group?
Many people ask me what they should do to prepare for these “O-course” races. "Come to practice." Our group regularly trains on our portable O-course. We consist of a diverse group of athletes with experience in the following: CrossFit, GoRuck events, triathlons, marathons, body building, climbing, power lifting, high intensity interval training, barefoot/minimalist style running, yoga, boot camps, military training, martial arts, and gymnastics. Each member uses their personal style of training to get through an O-course.

Get outside and back to basics!
Join our group because we are:
• Self-paced
• For all fitness levels
• Focused on injury prevention & safety
• A group of members with racing knowledge
• Here to help prep for races (before, during and after)
• Unique with access to train and practice on military posts
• Having a ridiculous amount of fun
