In Bear Spirit Medicine Purification Lodge (Sweat Lodge), ceremony is a meaningful community prayer experience in keeping with the traditional ways of the Blackfoot Indian people. Sweat Lodge is conducted out of doors and within a large covered structure. The ceremony connects the spiritual and physical worlds.
The Lodge is our spiritual mother in physical form. Red hot stones are splashed with water by the ceremony leader (Water Pourer) and hot steam becomes our words rising up, touching everything and becoming part of All - That -Is. Herbs songs and prayer are offered because its medicine is to connect to All That Is.
