Workshop: Mini Cob Cottage 200²ft. Garden Shed

Coal Creek Canyon, Golden CO

CANCELED :( September 9th - September 13th

Hosted by: Kim Evans [masked]

Gearin' up for Autumn!: Are you interested in construction using natural and sustainable building practices? If you're familiar with Earthships, consider learning about cob cottages as well! We will be assisting Kim Evans and friends construct a 200²ft. miniature cob cottage garden shed on her property in Golden, CO. We will help her complete the cob portion of her build.

Donations / Attendance: If you feel you cannot accommodate a full fee, please contact Kim and speak with her directly. We will not be turning down anyone that is interested to provide their time and muscle for construction. Donations will help pay for food, water use and somewhat cover the costs to hire the seasoned builders who will be educating all of us. Donations will go directly to the host, Kim Evans after settling on her property.

$100 requested donation.

-AGAIN if you think you will have trouble affording this, please contact Kim directly and to negotiate a donation. Consider volunteering for this workshop to waive your donation.

Volunteers: We will need a select few to assist with food preparation, material gathering, planning and other various tasks. If you would like to volunteer, email Kim to express your interest - [masked] -

Directions and Parking: Please refer to the map for directions. Parking on property is provided; 4x4 is not required for access.

Musicians: Bring your djembe, hang drum, didgeridoos, flutes, fiddles, banjos, kazoos, ukulele, acoustic guitar, hand drums, steel drums or cow bell; anything that makes noise can be integrated in evening jam sessions! Just go easy on the cow bell... :)

Extended Stay: If you plan to stay overnight, camping should be considered. Please bring a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat and any amenities you prefer camping with. Small RV's can be accommodated; please email Kim for further information and coordination regarding RV's. Lavatories for bathing and freshening up will be provided to workshop attendees from the main ranch house. Please be respectful and mindful of your water use so we don't consume beyond our needs.

Food: Daily meals will be provided, but if you consume more than the average person you may want to bring additional supplements to accommodate your stay. If you enjoy cooking for others, bring extra grub to share in potluck fashion!

Dogs: If you decide to bring a furry counterpart please make sure they play well with other dogs. Service animals are always welcome.

Don't Forget Necessities: Work Gloves / Lip balm / Sun Screen / Water Bottle / Sun Hat
