Learn how to pound an earth rammed tire and construct walls for residential construction in Lanark Highlands July 5 - 7, 2013, including concrete, parging and drainage techniques. We can adapt to whatever the weather presents and make the most of the day. Steel toed boots and work gloves required. Room to sleep two to four inside, depending on privacy needs. Plenty of outside tent space but fireflies and mosquitos abound at night. Option to work for wage each day at $13/hour. For an early start on Saturday to benefit from cooler temperatures, pounders are welcome to rent a van (I will cover the cost) and sleep over Friday. We can break during the hot afternoon with a swim in our nearby lakes. Work will resume from 5-8:00 followed by a group dinner Saturday evening and afterwards, a camp fire under the stars. To be repeated Sunday. Some food options to offer: soup, shrimps, BBQ chicken, coconut bok choy, fruit, lemonade/juice, ice cream bars, chips.
