Touting themselves as West Berkeley's longest-running dive bar, they never disappoint with their drink specials, good grub, and outdoor seating. We will meet at Missouri Lounge, and run to the Aquatic Park and back. Courses we have mapped below are 5k, one loop or two loops around Aquatic Park before returning to the bar for drinks and food.     Beer runners who live in and love the Laurel District asked to have this run again. Come check out a great neighborhood, course and craft beer spot. This will also be a good tune up run for people running the San Francisco Marathon and the first half of SFM. The longer run will test how ready one is for running uphill. There’s free parking in the dirt lot next to Degrees Plato and also free street parking on streets east and west of MacArthur Blvd. If you’re hungry after the run breakfast/brunch is available from the kitchen at Degrees Plato.   • Faction Alameda Saturday Run and Alameda Running Festival giveaways

    UPDATE: After our run, we will be giving away a few free race entries to the 2019 Bank of Marin's Alameda Running Festival. Winners will have their choice of running the 5k, 10k, or the half-marathon. All races will take place on Sunday, September 15. Those in attendance of our meetup and who have not won with us this year for a race are eligible for the bib prizes. "The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend -- the unofficial start to summer." Most of us will likely be out-of-town, but for some (or you, maybe) -- some of us will still be here. Want to kick off the 3-day weekend with a morning run? Or better yet, how about a beer run from an Alameda spot that is a favorite of many runners? Well...you got it. After almost 3 years since the lone visit, we are finally returning to Faction. We will meet at Faction Brewing in Alameda, run along the waterfront, and then return to the brewery for brews and SF skyline views. Meeting time is at 11am, but we typically don't start our run until 10 minutes after the hour. If you opt for the short run, you may have a little downtime since the brewery doesn't open until 12pm.
