These Sunday games are now a combination of our group and another offline group. The other group usually brings about 14-16 players so to estimate how many players will show up just add that to our RSVP total.
Since the grass field is closed until February 2013, these games will take place on the turf field (football field) if there is room to play (if you know of a conflicting event scheduled at the field for the same time, let us know early so we can relocate or cancel).
BAD WEATHER PROCEDURE:
If it is storming or lightning ~1 hour before game time then we will cancel the game for safety reasons.
When it rains before the game, if there's not an equal amount of sunshine to dry the field (i.e. 1 hour of rain then 1 hour of sunshine, 3 hours of rain then 3 hours of sunshine, etc.) then we'll cancel the game since this field can get pretty waterlogged.
If we're not at Piedmont High School then check the turf fields a few blocks away at Havens School on the corner of Oakland Ave. & Highland Ave., also in Piedmont (http://goo.gl/maps/JFd0z).
Also, if you plan on attending and there's no event host listed for the game, if you'd be willing to help coordinate the game (make sure there's a ball to play, help decide how/if to split into smaller groups, answer any questions for new players, etc.) then please let me know so we can make sure the games go smoothly.
P.S. Bring a light- and dark-colored shirt if possible to make it easier to split up into teams.
